Celebrating Life

Postby Catherine Poole » Fri Feb 26, 2016 10:15 am

Tonight we plan to celebrate my partner's life with a big song circle and supper. It is going to be a wonderful evening with singing, playing all instruments, and kids laughter. We will tape it for future celebrations.

I'm doing well since I have this work to turn to. But it is a lot to handle lately with doctor's appointments etc. I was thinking about all of you caregivers as I sat in waiting room after waiting room and listened to doctor after doctor. We have some amazing GP docs who I admire greatly. The neurologists are interesting characters to say the least and hardly warm and fuzzy! He is progressing with the disease and it is sad to watch.

Sitting in the radiation waiting room which is an everyday event now and thinking of my fellow caregivers...hope u had some peace today and can carve some time for yourself. I put my youngest on a plane to visit his grandparents so I am down one kid for the week (!) and my friend is making us dinner..for that, I am thankful

It is amazing what one friend with a cheerful note or call can boost you for a long time! The little things truly count.
