Worried about a mole

Post by fenixfire » Thu Dec 27, 2018 8:49 pm

Hello there, I need help with something.

My great aunt has a weird mole growing in her scalp, precisely at her temple, right in the middle of her hair. Its not painful apparently but slightly bothersome when she is combing her hair also, its very weird looking as you can tell, it has some of the signs which could mean a melanoma such as asymmetry and irregular borders, so we are worried...

If you guys could take a look at this and point us out, if we should worry about it, I would be grateful, because it will take a long while before she can see a doctor. We live in Brazil btw.

Please take a look at it and any guidance would be great, I know its always better to see a doc but right now it will take a while before she is able to do so I had the idea of asking for help here..

Thanks.

A diagnosis can only be made with a biopsy and I would suggest she see a dermatologist as soon as possible. Photos can be deceiving. Sorry we can't help further but do get her checked out.

While Catherine is right regarding diagnosis, my suggestion is not meant to alarm you however from my experience get this checked by a professional dermatologist with direct experience with melanoma now, as this brings back pictures of how mine started in my scalp and my family doctor told me it was fine. It wasn't.
