As I previously wrote, going into Manhattan for surgery on the same day that POTUS was visiting the UN actually resulted in a very easy drive with little traffic. Today was a different matter – light rain brought traffic to a crawl and a two hour trip turned into a two hour fifty-five minute trip, ugh.

Trip was worth it. Wound from Wide Local Excision was healing well AND, “skin and subcuts… No residual melanoma identified”. (Dr. still suggests I abstain from doing laundry and general housework for another four months, but I’m not sure my wife bought it. Oh well, it was worth a try.)

I do have to drive in again tomorrow morning for scans, forecast is for rain.

Terrific news. Can’t get much better unless your wife refuses to obey doctor’s orders.
