“Metastasis to regional nodes is the most important prognostic factor in patients with early-stage melanoma” I thought Breslow thickness was the most important prognostic factor.?

Once the melanoma has spread to a node, the staging changes and the prognosis changes as well. But the depth is always considered the top prognostic value until that time. This study was interesting to those getting SLNB’s with low risk lesions. It lined up with most guidelines to not have it done under 1mm unless there was mitotis above 1.
