Thanks for posting. Keep in mind, clothing, hat etc. is much better at saving your skin than sunscreen, also keeping in the shade and avoiding noontime hours. Have a great spring/summer for those in this hemisphere.
It’s still early in the process, but any progress is welcome — H.R. 4250 was moved forward by a House subcommittee vote on Tuesday. The goal is to get the FDA to streamline and act more quickly in testing and approving new ingredients in sunscreen that are already available in Europe and much of the rest of the world (none new in the U.S. since the 1990’s).
Ecamsule as mexoryl SX newly approved by FDA in U.S. around 2006, but they had to register the specific sunscreen itself (something like that) with FDA, not the ingredient. It’s the one I use on my face/neck along now with mandatory hat, UV shades, clothing and shade worship. Want to see more new approvals, and as ingredients.
