Yes, no? How long did you wait? What did your doctors advise?

Much depends on the staging of your melanoma. The higher risk, the longer you may want to wait. The worry is a recurrence while pregnant. My doctor told me to wait two years. There is no hormonal connection to pregnancy and melanoma that’s scientifically proven. I hope this helps you.

Thank you. May I ask what stage you had?

Mine was 0.9 mm, un-ulcerated, mitosis of 1, discovered in Dec 2016. Most doctors told me no need to wait, but I decided to wait for two years for my pwn piece of mind.

Yes, I had a mitotic rate of 2, and a .76 lesion. Not high risk but they didn’t like the mitotic rate. For further peace of mind you can get a second opinion on the pathology, make sure an expert looks at it, dermatopathologist from a teaching university. (I was lucky to have Wallace Clark, who the Clark levels are named for)
