I was told today that the expanded access for Merck PD1 is now open in Canada, Australia and several EU countries (UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, and Spain) with additional EU countries to follow. Patients are already enrolled and drug has been distributed. Be sure to check with your individual doctor for more information. I am working on getting a sites list. I am so happy to hear this!

Does anyone know when EAP PD1 opens in Sweden? I am waiting. Am I right that you can have failed nivo and ipi and still be able to have mercs EAP PD1? I don’t know if I got nivo or dacarbazine in the trial but my onc has really tried to get the answer and is now promised she wil recieve it

Your oncologist needs to contact the Merck EAP program to find out about availability. Locations are only being divulged to medical professionals. They should email: mk3475row@idispharma.com and ask for locations. I hope you find out what agents you had, but mainly you need to have failed IPI and BRAF if BRAF positive. Let us know if you find out anything.

Thank you Cathrine! My oncologist has contact with Merc she is melanoma specialist and had led many studies. She is one of the best in Sweden but doesn’t know when EAP is given in Sweden. I thought I should ask you who are always first with the answers. I tell you if and when I get EAP.

The company Merck hired only told me the following countries have the EAP and some are already open: the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Canada and Australia.

Can you travel to Germany? I believe there is one there that is open

I can go to Germany. But i am still on cortisol I’am trapping down and hopefully out of it in october. First then I can begin with EAP I think. And hopefully it is in Sweden then. Thanks again Cathrine for your support. I learn to be my own advocacy by this site.

Good for you! You do have to be your own advocate. Hopefully PD1 will be approved and available by October. Keep in touch.
