My husband was diagnosed with brain mets in November. He received radiation in December and at his follow up MRI we saw that the tumors have begun to shrink. Lately he has been having debilitating headaches and stiff necks. Typical headache medicines do nothing for the pain. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to relieve the pain? Or any complimentary therapies to try?

    Thanks.

TAKE YOU HUSBAND TO THE ER NOW! Right now!

If your husband is experiencing severe headaches and neck pain those could be caused by swelling of the brain due to after effects of the radiation or to new tumors. Increased pressure on the brain can cause brain seizures or even death. You’re not a doctor. I’m not a doctor. We don’t know what is causing these headaches. Go to the ER now!

Absolutely call his oncologist and let him/her know right away!
