when i had one of my lymph nodes removed they said it had alot of pigment fragmentations in it…was curious as to what that means. i also had the melanoma removed from upper forearm and they say i have NKD but i am still having night sweat(none hormonal), losing weight and i have a noticeable lump where node was removed? it is being checked next week but was curios if anyone else has had these issues! thanks! :)

Could you provide more detail? how deep was your original lesion? Where are you having treatment? Are they melanoma specialists? Losing weight is not a good thing without a cause. Tell us a little more.

melanoma was 3.5mm deep in left upper forearm…lymph nodes under arm removed. im in a clinical trial but not sure of name of it (watch and wait or lymph node dissection) and i am being seen by Dr Blansfield of Geisinger Medical Center of Danville in Danville, Pennsylvania….i have been choosen to b observed. But im not sure if they r Melanoma Specialist? I am also very tired and feel weaker then usual. My night sweats r real bad. I seem to b loosin 1-2 pounds a week and i know thats not alot but im doing nothing different that i should b droppin weight. It was microscopic in my node.

Something has to be causing the weight loss and lack of energy, Have you had scans or bloodwork recently? If so and all was well than I would get an appointment with your PCP as soon as possible. It could be something totally unrelated to your melanoma but you need to get it checked out.

    Keep us posted!

I had all the testing shortly after melanoma was removed. Just saw PCP and her blood works was all “within range”. Thats y she is sending back to dermatologist and oncologist.
