Just wanted to correct something I saw from another topic. Applicable to UK patients.
This summer 2014 NICE approved ipilimumab first line for advanced inoperable melanoma and they specifically said advanced inoperable uveal melanoma should also have access to this drug. This means that if your oncologist requests this drug for you – if you have a life expectancy of greather than 3 months the NHS cannot refuse to fund it first line.
However proior imflammatory bowel disease would prevent the use of this drug or other life threatening auto immune disease
