I was originally diagnosed with stage 3b nodular melanoma in February 2012. I have had a right wide leg excision, groin node dissection on the right with muscle flap and pelvic node dissection bilaterally. I recently had a biopsy on my butt that came back as Metastasis of cutaneous malignant melanoma. What des this mean?

It means the melanoma spread to your buttock and created a tumor, subcutaneously. It was removed? That is the best procedure to deal with it. I would discuss with your doctor whether it is now time to consider some type of adjuvant therapy, such as the immuno therapies. Are you BRAF positive or negative? I would find that out as well.
