I am a PhD student in Applied Social and Health Psychology at Colorado State University, and I’m working with some colleagues to create a video intervention to try to promote sun protective behaviors among adolescents. This project is sponsored by the Dennis Coakley Memorial Foundation.
After conducting a series of focus groups with adolescents, we realized that the most powerful way to influence young people’s behaviors would be to share a story of a young person who either currently has or has survived melanoma or skin cancer.
If you are or know of a young person within ~200 miles of Fort Collins, Colorado who might be willing to share their story during a video-taped interview, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you in advance for considering this request.
Hi Lauren I was recently dx. with Melanoma insitu . I am not a “young person” ( age 56) but would love to help change young people behavior with sun exposure. My son attends CSU and we live in Littleton, Colorado
Let me know if I can be of help.
