    Dear Melanoma International Foundation Forum:

I am a PhD student in Applied Social and Health Psychology at Colorado State University, and I’m working with some colleagues to create a video intervention to try to promote sun protective behaviors among adolescents. This project is sponsored by the Dennis Coakley Memorial Foundation.

After conducting a series of focus groups with adolescents, we realized that the most powerful way to influence young people’s behaviors would be to share a story of a young person who either currently has or has survived melanoma or skin cancer.

If you are or know of a young person within ~200 miles of Fort Collins, Colorado who might be willing to share their story during a video-taped interview, please contact me at lauren.menger@colostate.edu.

Thank you in advance for considering this request.

    Lauren

My niece is Grand Junction was around 22 (I think) when her melanoma was diagnosed and treated. Would you be interested in talking with her?
