    Hi everyone, it’s been a while…

My husband (stage 4) tried everything, he’s been on interferon, yervoy (twice), temodar, cisplatin, paclitaxel, nothing worked, he was stable for awhile but nothing have helped him. He is braf negative and here in Mexico no PD1 or PDL1 trials are available just yet. Mets have doubled in size and number, his lungs, brain, abdomen, nodes, bone, etc. Onc suggested tamoxifen, is there someone in here with this treatment? does it work?

Thanks a lot, blessings to all.

Tamoxifen is probably most useful in breast and ovarian cancer but there is not scientific proof of it working for melanoma. There is a great trial opening at UCLA and other locations with the PDL and MEK for braf negative. I would try to come to the US for a trial. Sorry for all you’ve gone through and I hope the path gets smoother.
